The extended-length L model has longer drain tube runs than the standard Grand Cherokee, increasing the likelihood of blockage. Water pools in the sunroof channel and overflows into the headliner, dripping onto the front seats, center console electronics, and overhead console modules. The rear drain tubes are especially prone to clogging where they pass through the C-pillar.
